She graduated in 1982 from Upper Dublin High School and Sandy Run Middle School. She graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in telecommunications in 1986 from University of Miami. While a student at the college she was offered a position at Dynamic cable located in Coral Gables Florida as a Sports Director. In addition, she was employed for two more years in the year 1984 and 1986. During this period she also was a member of the water ski team in the University of Miami.
